Business & Entrepreneurship Intern
Build your resume as you gain practical experience and valuable skills! Darbe, the social network for philanthropy, is an early-stage startup. We connect volunteers, donors, and fundraisers with charitable organizations and nonprofits.
As a Darbe intern, you will partner with our co-founders to hone your skills in project management, networking, business development, and social media/branding. This is a great opportunity to perform meaningful work and be part of Darbe’s growth trajectory. Internship activities may be performed remotely or at our office in downtown Houston.
Internship Activities:

Actively contribute to projects through collaboration, feedback, and data.

Devise time-sensitive strategic plans based on multiple requirements and limited resources.

Research and analyze points of interest to convert information into data that can be utilized for business intelligence and decision-making.

Actively contribute to project plans, including strategy and implementation.

Create and map contact networks of pertinent organizations.

Qualify contacts based on a list of criteria and responses.

Initiate first touch communication with prospective contacts through email, phone, and social media, and build rapport with business associates through effective communication and persuasion.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes

Authentic interest in philanthropy, volunteerism, and/or fundraising for charitable causes combined with a passion for business and entrepreneurship.

Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written, with ability to communicate via phone, email, in-person, and using remote tools and social media technologies (e.g., Google, LinkedIn, Slack, Zoom, etc.)

Working knowledge of, or ability to learn quickly, business tools such as Mailchimp, Google (Drive, Sheets, Hangouts), Canva, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat, WIX, etc.
